Talking 'bout Reaganomics

I was in England in the 1980s but that didn't stop me hating Reagan, together with our own national nightmare Maggie Thatcher he was responsible for the placing of even more wealth and power in the hands of the already very wealthy and powerful while he shit on working people from a great height. If that wasn't bad enough this idiot had his finger on the nuclear button which was a very, very scary thing to be living with in the 80s. So while the media is indulging in a puke-making orgy of sentimental remembrance I'd like to remember his era with The Valentine Brothers' classic ode to the misery caused by Reaganomics. This was, of course, covered by Simply Red, but the least said about that the better.

Yay! Lee blogs! Hello Lee!

Completely agree re: Reagan. We're probably going to experience a similar rush of bogus sentimental claptrap over here when La Thatch finally pops her clogs.

This Valentine Bros tune is rather catchy isn't it?
