Something for the weekend

Tracie Young — swoon

I do believe that's The Questions playing with her, but who's the chap on the far left of the stage with the guitar? Looks awfully familiar.

Ah, that was a defining moment for me musically that programme: 'Switch' in 1983. The Questions did Price You Pay, Tracie did this and then Weller and Talbot did Speak Like A Child, and if memory serves, Solid Bond.

She was lovely. Still is for that matter. There's a myspace page out there; actually there's a myspace for respond, one for tracie and one for the questions. Also have a look for 'chris free'. Chris was the songwriter in A Craze. I think he had some old tunes of theirs up on his site.

Happy weekend!

I'll confirm what Simon says as I too have this on VHS.

'Switch' was the replacement on Ch4 for 'The Tube' over the summer of 83. I best remember it for 2 things:-

(a) New Order playing Age of Consent and Blue Monday

(b) The Style Council doing the full 7 mins plus of Money Go Round where Weller got so carried away with delivering his vocal a mouthful of spit emerged....
