Something for the weekend

Haven’t had any Roxy Music around these parts for a while. The more I see old clips like this (and this and this and this — I could have posted ‘em all) the more I think the Roxy of the 1970s were the greatest rock band ever.

The Micheal Bracewell Roxy biog’s a lug, but ties all the threads together. Well as far as the first album.

Have you checked out the The Thrill of It All DVD?

I love the Bracewell book, as a former art school boy myself it quite took me back.

Haven’t seen the DVD. What’s on it?

  3. LondonLee says:

Oh sorry, didn’t see you’d linked to it.

Funny….I was thinking it would be nice to hear this song on my way into work…didn’t know you had posted the video today.

Thanks for posting this clip – have to say I’m fairly new to the joys of Roxy and Ferry’s early solo work but they were untouchable right up to Flesh & Blood.

Have you seen the clip of Twiggy and Bryan doing Wonderful World? – The man oozes class – love the site by the way!

Nicely presented info in this post, I like to read this sort of stuff. The quality of content is okay and also the conclusion is good. Thanks for the post.
