Though she was cute in a Tennant’s-Lager-can sort of way, I don’t think Carol Hawkins was in the same, er, class as Raquel Welch. The Jayne Mansfield of Comprehensive Education, maybe?

When you’ve seen Raquel Welch in a Chelsea FC kit – you know there can be no other satisfying image of her – even as a comprehensive schoolgirl!!
yeah, not Raquel by any means. Although I did have a funny crush on Carol when I was about 12. She turned up in an episode of Blakes 7 which made an impression.

Gorgeous face…didn’t have Raquel’s stunning body, but facially far FAR prettier than Ms Welch!
