Something for the Weekend

I know you get a lot of Bryan/Roxy here but this one doesn’t get seen very often and the girls in it look fab, especially Jerry Hall.

My sister could never understand how she could leave the elegant and dashing Bryan for Mick Jagger who she regarded as a bit of a troll in comparison.

  2. Hard to say as their catalogue goes from the arty and weird to the smooth and silky, and Ferry’s solo stuff is more pop (like this). Lots of different flavours to choose from.

If you like this you might want to try Bryan’s ‘Let’s Stick Together’ album which this comes from and which also contains some ‘pop’ reworkings of tunes from Roxy’s first album.

  3. I struggled to be Bowie in the 1970’s and Ferry in the 80’s but I rejoice now that I was so ordinary and not as good looking as them guys: how hard must it be for them to look back and see themselves and compare and contrast? I’m 53, still ordinary. These peacocks must feel devastated.

  4. I remember reading somwhere in some decade that Bryan Ferry left Jerry hall, and it was detailed in Aandy Warhol diaries that underarm deodorant was not high on Jerrys list…….
