I just went to see The Vaccines at Brixton Academy. Is it just me or have gigs become a lot tamer? Is this is what happens when you get a generation raised on X Factor? They think a good gig involves clapping along in time and taking pictures on their phone. I remember when a gig that didn’t involve internal bruising and a week of tinnitus was a disappointment! What happened? Bring back National Service!!! Am I wrong or do Chip Shoppers remember differently?
