As always, great pics. Where did the blonde mohican girls pic come from? I would swear that the girl pointing is an old mate of mine. Which would make that pic late 80s. If it’s not her then she has a double.

I grew up in Walton and Hersham, and remember going to a local football match where the opposing fans started singing “Hersham Boys, Hersham Boys, Fluffy slippers and Cuddly Toys”. Even the Walton fans had to applaud that!

Simon, I got it from a Tumblr blog. Can’t find which one though.
I assume you recognize they’re on the King’s Road

It was either going to be the Kings Road or Camden. My mate, (and I’m pretty sure it is her and the 80s judging by the normal looking guy in the background in jeans, and the green hair of the bloke on the left – definite 80s looking things) used to pose for pics for things like the postcards you used to see for sale round by Victoria. I’ve seen a few of those with her on them. How weird. More of the small world things that keep happening.

It’s outside the barracks at the Sloane Sq. end. Definitely 1980s.

It’s definitely my mate. She used to live in Ladbroke Grove, went to school with Betty Boo!

That’s made me all nostalgic. She was a funny one, I loved her to bits. But she was a headcase. A bloke I knew met her once and started flirting with her. She smirked and kicked him in the balls with her knee high DM boots. All he did was tell her she looked cool pretty much, and that her eyes looked nice.

That first photo reminds me a bit of “The Midwich Cuckoos”.
The Bay City Rollers fans photo reminds me of the times we went to Wembley in the 1970’s for the England v Scotland footie matches. Possibly the only time the majority of Scots folk wear tartan.
Great photographs.

My sister was a Rollermaniac. One time she was going to see them live she got all dressed up in the tartan-trimmed trousers, scarf, stripy socks, basketball shoes, the works. While she was waiting for her friends my mum asked her to pop down to the corner shop to get a loaf of bread, so she changed out of her Roller gear into normal clothes.
“What are you getting changed for?” asked my mum
“I’m not walking down the street dressed like this on my own!” my sister replied

Last photo but one, 2 lads, 1 bike. Where was that taken? My memory was that in East London when skinheads were passe and we got into flares, cutting your trousers short went out the window as well as cutting your hair. Unless you were a bay City Rollers fan girl that is.
