Christmas Cheers


Right, that’s me done for the year. I’m taking the last bus out of Blogtown and heading home for the holidays. Hope you and yours have a good one and I’ll leave you with this funky gem from the classic Ze compilation A Christmas Record.

Enjoy your holidays, safe travels (especially if going back to Old Blighty), and enjoy that snowball … (wow … that’s a New Year’s drink that brings me back to Gran’s).

    I see you’re reading (or read) “City on Fire” … I must confess, it’s been sitting unread at home (another wildly optimistic withdrawal from the library). I did struggle manfully through a couple of hundred pages of “A Brief History of Seven Killings” though. Those Booker Prize committee members must know something I don’t. At any rate, hope you find time to prop your legs up with a book as well!

  2. Staying home this year (home = America)

    I got through about 400 pages of City on Fire before it had to go back to the library. Was enjoying it but could see where he could easily shave a few hundred pages off. He’s a great writer but does like to go on.

    Seven Killings is on my to-read list. Very highly recommend Mislaid though – that’s short!
