Whole ceremony bit of a political statement : not really a problem with that , my real problem was it said very little about London , more about Britain as a whole. Feel proud though that my hometown city is hosting a truly world event.

I was watching the cycling road race at the weekend and they went through Fulham!

Yes Lee it went right through fulham , then Putney and right out to Surrey , then back to finish central London; In about 5 hours !
